A strange and weird case has come to light in Chandrapur of Maharashtra where a parrot had been accused of passing vulgar comments on Janabai Sakharkar, old lady of 85. This one-of-a-kind incident has taken place in Rajura where a complaint has been filed against Janabai’s step-son who is accused of teaching Hariyal, his pet parrot to shower abusive words at the old lady whenever she passes by his house.
Police was out of its wits at this bizarre case and for verification, called all the three, old woman, her step-son and Hariyal, into police station. They brought its cage near the lady; however, it did not utter a word.
According to the reports, inspector P S Dongre maintained, “There is a dispute over land and property between the woman and her stepson. We watched the parrot carefully, but it did not utter a word at the Police Station after being confronted by the complainant.”
Nevertheless, Janabai Sakharkar seems to have been extremely annoyed with that parrot and hence, cop has taken the decision of handing over Hariyal to forest dept. officers.
