She Had To Pay 5K For Visa Fees & ATMs Were Shut! What Auto Driver Did Will Restore Faith In Humanity

Humanity is the greatest quality that we human beings can ever have, as it’s above all the religions and relations and leaves a never-ending deep effect on the minds of people. Undoubtedly, it never dies but on the contrary, keeps on inspiring others to do good even to those whom they don’t know. What’s more, it always feels great to do something for others and that feeling is simply heavenly. We never regret doing such acts of kindness and even though we forget what we did, the other person remains thankful to us for the rest of his/her life. Not very often, we stumble upon people who just surprise us with their selflessness and show that the world is not that awful as it appears to be.

Here we present one such story of humanity which added a beautiful chapter to the life of Varijashree Venugopal, a Facebook user, flautist and Bengaluru-based singer. She’s the daughter of HS Venugopal, a well-known Carnatic flautist. Varijashree recently shared her story on Facebook in which she described how she was awestruck by the “random act of kindness” of an auto rickshaw driver named Baba whom she can never forget throughout her life.

It so happened that she had been to Hyderabad for a visa interview and as luck would have it, she didn’t have enough cash. Her requirement was of Rs. 5,000 for visa fees; nevertheless, she had just Rs. 2,000 with her. What added to her dilemma was that all the ATM centres that she visited were closed. She found herself in a tight spot when no store agreed to give her cash by swiping her card with ATM machines.

Finally, Baba came to her rescue and what he did made her emotionally attached to him. He gave her all the savings despite the fact that she was a complete stranger to him and while doing this, he only thought of her problems, not about his money. His selflessness impressed and overwhelmed the girl to no end!

Here’s Her Facebook Post:

“This is Baba, an auto driver in Hyderabad. Baba saved my day. I was here for a visa interview, and short of cash by a couple of thousands. I needed around 5000 for the visa fees and had just 2000 and odd. We visited about 10 to 15 ATM centres, without any luck. Seemed like there was a strange problem with all ATMs in Hyderabad. I even requested a few stores with ATM machines, if they could swipe my card and give me cash, but in vain. Baba senses my helplessness and offers me 3000 out of his savings and says ‘Madam aap isko use karlo aur baad mein hotel ke paas vapas kardo, koi baat nahin’. I was overwhelmed by his act of kindness and was full of gratitude for this man that I never met before. He selflessly helped a total stranger. I was moved. Yes, God manifests in the most strangest and beautiful ways. A new life lesson learnt everyday! I am honoured to find a friend in you, Baba. Thank you for reminding me that humanity is the greatest religion of all.
