Phogat Sisters & Yogeshwar Dutt Thrashed Javed Akhtar Over His Tweet On ‘Hardly Literate’ Players

Javed Akhtar, one of the most famous lyricists of Bollywood, is in the center of a storm after he criticized those Indian sportspersons who opposed Gurmehar Kaur. What hurt these sportspersons a lot was that Javed called them “hardly literate”.

Gurmehar (20) was in news as she was running an online campaign against ABVP, the student wing of BJP; however, she has withdrawn it now.

Javed Akhtar tweeted, “If a hardly literate player or a wrestler troll a pacifist daughter of a martyr its understandable but whats wrong with some educated folks”

With this tweet, Javed took a dig at Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag, wrestler Yogeshwar Dutt and Phogat sisters who trolled Gurmehar for posting a video which supported peace between both the neighboring nations, India and Pakistan. Shortly, all the individuals on whom Javed’s tweet was targeted started reacting.
