PM Modi Is A Bigger Actor Than Me & I Should Give Him My 5 National Awards, Says Prakash Raj

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a huge fan following and in the same manner, there is no dearth of his critics too. After every unfortunate incident, we have seen several people demanding PM Modi to speak on the incident but he speaks whenever he feels to do so and sometimes, he remains silent as well.

However this time, his silence is troubling an established multi-lingual actor so much that he has called PM Modi a bigger actor than himself.

On Sunday, actor Prakash Raj, whom we have mostly seen in negative roles, expressed his resentment as he was not happy with PM’s silence over the matter of journalist Gauri Lankesh’s murder. For Prakash Raj, PM Modi’s silence over his followers’ rejoicing the murder of Gauri Lankesh is like an “actor trying to please his followers”.

He was addressing public at the inauguration of Left-oriented Democratic Youth Federation of India’s 11th state meet and he said,

“Those who killed Gauri may or may not be traced but that apart, there is a huge crowd out there enjoying and celebrating on social media. We all know who they are, what their ideology is. Some of those celebrating this ghastly episode are being followed by none other than Mr Modi himself. This is what worries me, where is our country is headed to?”

He went on to say that by keeping mum on the actions of his followers, PM Modi is attempting to prove that, “he is trying to become a bigger actor than me”.

He further added,

“I am worried about the PM’s silence. Is he trying to endorse cruelty espoused by some of his followers.”

In fact, he also asked to return his five national film awards as he feels that PM Modi can do better acting than him and hence, he should be given those awards.

Here’s how Twitter reacted over Prakash’s statement:
