On 1st of December, PM Modi and Wrestler Khali met in Delhi & he too extended his support towards the demonetization move. Dalip Singh Rana aka Khali stated that this move would surely benefit the country in the long run. He also agreed that it is causing inconvenience at the moment, but soon the shortcomings would be overcome.
He stated
“He (Modi) has taken this decision in the interest of the country. I wanted to congratulate him. I told him that it is good for the country though there are some difficulties being faced by the people. But it is temporary and it will help the country in the long run.”
