The Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi also felt the heat of Rohit Vemula’s suicide case when he was making a speech at Baba Saheb Bhim Rao University, Lucknow in the convocation program. As the Prime Minister started his speech, some students who were seated near the last rows of auditorium got up and started shouting slogans against him. However, the security staff also jumped into action immediately and took all those students out of the auditorium.
Rohit Vemula was a Ph.D second year student at Hyderabad University and he was expelled by the university citing disciplinary reasons. However, some colleagues and friends of Rohit are saying that this is not a suicide but a murder by goons of RSS and ABVP as he was in support of those who showed the documentary “Muzaffarnagar baaki hai”.
No political party is leaving any chance of taking political mileage in the matter and that is why every leader is shouting on the top of their voices to gain some votes.
