1. Mallika Sherawat (Reema Lamba):
Mallika Sherawat belongs to a conservative Haryanvi family and her father’s name is Mukesh Kumar Lamba. Mallika’s family was against her wish to work in movies because of which her relationship with them strained and she left her home to leave for Mumbai. For working in the film industry, she changed her name to Mallika and kept her mother’s maiden name, “Sherawat” as her surname because her mother supported her in her ambitions.
2. Kangana Ranaut:
The actress turned politician Kangana Ranaut initially wanted to become a doctor but she reconsidered her career choice after she failed in a unit test in Chemistry in 12th grade. At the age of 16, she moved to Delhi in order to find her space and freedom and her relations with her family especially with her father strained because he wanted her to pursue medicine. Kangana’s father also refused to send her money as he was of the opinion that she was wasting time in aimless pursuit.
Kangana tried her luck in modeling but didn’t like it as there was no creativity and then she tried her hands on acting. After getting positive reviews in Delhi, she decided to move to Mumbai for becoming a movie actor and her decision indeed proved to be correct as presently she is one of the most successful and popular Bollywood actresses and she is among those very few actresses who have the capability to give a superhit movie on their own.
3. Naseeruddin Shah:
Naseeruddin Shah is certainly one of the best actors of the industry and over the years, with his brilliant performances, he has also proved that he is a versatile actor who can essay any role with ease. Naseer was born into a Nawab family that was against his wishes to pursue acting as a profession so he left his home and took admission into National School of Drama (NSD), Delhi.
4. Vijay Varma:
Vijay Varma was born into a Marwari Hindu family based in Hyderabad and his family was against his wish of making a career in acting. He did theatre secretly and ran away from home after getting a seat in Film and Television Institute of India (FTII), Pune. Not just his fees of the two-year acting course but the monthly allowance were also paid by Vijay Varma’s friend.
In the present times, he is a very famous actor who has given some really good performances in movies and web series. What’s more, he has also been in limelight for his relationship with gorgeous actress Tamannaah Bhatia with whom he has worked in “Lust Stories 2”.
