At last, a new ray of hope, a new drug has become potent enough to block every strain of HIV. Researcher acclaimed that this could act as a new kind of vaccine that is mighty enough to fight and conquer this irresistible and incurable virus attack.

Over the years, scientists have been trying day in and day out for a single break through. The researchers across the globe, dealing with experiments regarding HIV virus, have worked hard in bringing out an answer to this burning question. Developed by more than a dozen research institutes that led by a team of researchers at the Scripps Research Institute in the US, this drug that is considered quite effective against doses of HIV-1, HIV-2 and SIV that is Simian Immunodeficiency Virus. Developers say that it worked against doses of HIV virus that would be transmitted between the human beings and it would work for eight months after the injection, at last.

Traditional HIV vaccines work by delivering a small, weakened dose of a virus to train the immune system to curb an actual attack. But this drug will do something very different. “Our compound is the broadest and most effective entry inhibitor discovered so far,” lead researcher Michael Farzan from the Scripps Institute said in a press release.
