The former Indian cricketer Praveen Kumar was touted as the next big thing at one point of time but the pacer faced problems in his career due to injuries and later on, he was also accused of bad behaviour while playing in domestic cricket.
Praveen Kumar made his international debut in 2007 and he played 6 test matches, 68 ODIs and 10 T20Is in which he took 27 wickets, 77 wickets and 8 wickets, respectively.
Recently, Praveen Kumar gave an interview in which he made some interesting and startling revelations. When he was asked about the Pakistani players, he said that they are liars and they show-off a lot; however he also said that he does have some friends in the Pakistani cricket fraternity including Kamran Akmal.
When Praveen Kumar was questioned about ball tampering in the international cricket, he said that everyone does that and during his time also, it was done in order to get reverse swing. When the interviewer talked about the Pakistani pacers who were known to reverse swing the ball in an exceptional manner, Praveen said that the Pakistanis used to do it a bit more by scratching it from one side. However, he also added that a player needs to have skills to reverse swing the ball and not everyone can do it.

In the same interview, Praveen Kumar also revealed that Lalit Modi, the former IPL commissioner threatened him of ending his career because he (Praveen) was not willing to play for Royal Challengers Bangalore as it was far from his place (Meerut, Uttar Pradesh) and he also didn’t like the food.
He said that he wanted to play for Delhi as it is near his place but a person made him sign a paper and he had no clue that he signed a contract for Bangalore.
Praveen Kumar took retirement from the international cricket in the year 2018 after he was not bought in the IPL auction but he still plays in the leagues which are organized for retired players.
Well, a quite honest person he is, isn’t he?
