Anonymous sources within the MCA later shed light on why Prithvi Shaw was excluded, citing fitness issues and lack of discipline. Reports suggested that his late-night outings, often returning home at 6 in the morning, had become a problem. A source stated that his fitness is a big concern and his performances are not as per expectations. The source further added that he needs to work on his fitness and discipline.
The Police Invitation Shield Cricket Tournament might be Prithvi Shaw’s last chance to redeem himself as a Mumbai cricketer. If he fails to improve both his performance and discipline, this opportunity could mark the end of his journey with the team.
