In the present times, majority of the actresses are saying yes to bold and intimate scenes in movies and web series as they don’t want to be left behind from other actresses and the latest example of the same is Tamannaah Bhatia but there are still some actresses who have no hesitation in saying NO to intimate scenes.
The southern actress Priyamani who has become a household name in northern India after working in The Family Man is also one of those actresses who straightaway say no to bold and intimate scenes. In a recent interview, the actress says that she won’t kiss any other man on the screen. She adds that she knows it is just a role and it is her job but she is not comfortable doing it and also because she is answerable to her husband.
Priyamani further said that initially she was required to do an intimate scene in series His Storyy with her co-actor Satyadeep Mishra but she refused to do so as she was not comfortable with it. She said that she won’t allow more than a kiss on cheek on the screen and she has lost many projects due to the same reason.
Priyamani says that it is quite obvious both sides of her family will watch the movie or series that she is a part of and she doesn’t want them to feel embarrassed while watching it. She adds that she doesn’t want her in-laws to think why she is doing such things after marriage and why other man is touching her. She further states that though her family members won’t be saying anything to her yet it is her personal choice to not get intimate on the screen.
Priyamani got married to Mustafa Raj, a Mumbai based businessman in the year 2017.
