Priyanka Chopra is a global superstar, known not just for her acting talent but also for her ambition and incredible career journey from Bollywood to Hollywood. Her life, both personal and professional, has always been a topic of great public interest. While she has been private about her relationships, a prominent ad filmmaker recently opened up about one of her past connections, shedding new light on her choices.
Ad filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar recently commented on Priyanka Chopra’s career and personal life, revealing that she once had a “serious affair” that she chose to keep out of the public eye. While he did not name the person involved, there has been long-standing speculation in Bollywood about a rumoured connection between Priyanka Chopra and Shah Rukh Khan, particularly following their undeniable on-screen chemistry in the films Don and Don 2.
According to Prahlad Kakkar, Priyanka is a very focused and determined person with a strong sense of dignity. He noted that she never publicly commented on the rumours about her affair, while everyone else was talking about it. He believed that her silence showed that the relationship was serious and deeply personal to her, not something she wanted to be discussed in the media. He also said that if the relationship had been unimportant, she would have simply laughed it off.
Prahlad Kakkar also talked about Priyanka Chopra’s early career and her competition with fellow actress Lara Dutta during the 2000 Femina Miss India pageant. Even though Lara won the main title and Priyanka was the first runner-up, they both went on to win major international pageant titles that same year.
He explained that Priyanka Chopra faced challenges at the time due to her skin tone and complexion. He described her as a strong-looking, large-boned woman who had to work incredibly hard to achieve the look she had in the film Dostana in which she looked stunning. He highlighted that her transformation was especially difficult because she had to work on her entire body structure, not just her weight.
Prahlad Kakkar also praised Priyanka Chopra’s bold decision to leave her successful Bollywood career to start over in the West. He said that when the industry began to see her as too old for lead heroine roles, she took the huge risk of moving abroad to establish herself. He expressed admiration for her courage, noting that very few people would be willing to give up a successful career and start from the bottom again.
Certainly Priyanka Chopra is one of the very few who have the courage to change their destiny.
