Protestors Threw Footwear At Players During Today’s Match. Check Pics

Today evening, it was said that the match between KKR and CSK would be cancelled because of the ongoing Cauvery issue. Yes, protests started all across Chennai owing to that water issue.

There was strict security of 4000 policemen inside the stadium, so that problems don’t happen. Even Rapid Action Force was deployed for the purpose of security.

However, the protests continued inside Chidambaram stadium too during the IPL match. Police detailed 2 people because they hurled shoes at the players during the match.

It is said that those 2 pople are a part of Tamizhar, Seeman’s (Actor and director) Naam pro-Tamil outfit. The shoe fell on Ravindra Jadeja while he was fielding. This incident took place in the 8th over of the match.

Thankfully, the match started even though there was a delay in the toss. CSK elected to bowl first & got a target of 203 runs.
