Rajat Sharma Calls Gambhir Jealous Of Virat, GG Takes A Brutal Dig At The News Anchor

The Indian cricketing fraternity is currently talking about only one incident and that is the ugly brawl between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli. While the cricketer turned politician Gambhir is serving Lucknow Super Giants as their mentor, Virat Kohli has been associated with Royal Challengers Bangalore since the inauguration edition of the IPL which took place in 2008 and he has also led the team as a skipper for some years.

The unfortunate incident took place on May 1 and it all started in the 17th over of LSG innings when LSG batter Naveen-ul-Haq reacted on something which was said by Virat Kohli and then they both had altercation after the match when the players of both the teams were greeting each other.

After this, Gautam Gambhir also had a heated argument with Virat Kohli until they both were separated by KL Rahul, Amit Mishra and Faf du Plessis.

While the whole country is talking about this matter, it is not possible for our news anchors to not react on it and recently Rajat Sharma, the chairman and editor-in-chief of India TV, came out in support of Virat Kohli and claimed that Gautam Gambhir is jealous of Virat. Rajat Sharma held Gambhir totally responsible for the incident and said that Virat is an aggressive player who never bears any nuisance.

Here is the video clip in which Rajat Sharma is talking about the incident, a Twitter user posted it with the caption, “Rajat Sharma- ‘Gautam Gambhir is jealous of Virat Kohli’s success. He’s not able to digest the fact that Kohli is far better than him.’ #GTvsDC #LSGvsRCB #gautamgambhir #ViratKohli”

Soon the former Indian cricketer also reacted on this matter and he reminded Rajat Sharma of the times when he became the President of Delhi and District Cricket Association and resigned just after a month citing pressure.

Gautam Gambhir tweeted, “Man who ran away from Delhi Cricket citing ‘pressure’ seems over eager to sell paid PR as concern for cricket! यही कलयुग़ है जहां ‘भगोड़े’ अपनी ‘अदालत’ चलाते हैं।”

In 2019, Rajat Sharma became the president of DDCA without having any relation with cricket but he resigned just after a month as he was not able to bear the pressure and held outside influences responsible for him being unable to work. Gautam Gambhir was a part of DDCA Apex Council as the government-nominated directors and it is being said that there was tension in their relations at that time as well.

Well, whatever the issue is but still we feel that journalism should be done in a neutral manner and a journalist needs to make people aware of the matter but they should not take sides. What do you think about it?
