The Indian cricketer Virat Kohli is in a great form nowadays and in yesterday’s IPL match which Royal Challengers Bangalore played against Sunrisers Hyderabad, King Kohli played a blistering knock of 100 runs for which he faced 63 deliveries and his innings included 12 fours & 4 sixes.
Many fans took to social media and took a jibe at LSG mentor Gautam Gambhir and LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq and even the senior news journalist Rajat Sharma was also not able to stop himself from taking a dig at Gautam Gambhir with whom he had cold relations during his tenure at the Delhi & District Cricket Association.
Rajat Sharma tweeted, “Magnificent 100 by Virat. It was a delight to watch. Of course, somebody somewhere may not be happy @imVkohli @BCCI”

Though Rajat Sharma didn’t take any name, it was easy for people to understand as to on whom this tweet was targeted.
It all started when Rajat Sharma slammed Gautam Gambhir and said that he was jealous of Virat Kohli and his achievements after the ugly spat which took place between Gautam Gambhir and Virat Kohli post the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Lucknow Super Giants that was played on 1 May 2023 at Ekana Sports City, Lucknow.
At that time, Gautam Gambhir responded with a tweet in which he trolled Rajat Sharma by saying that he ran away from DDCA citing pressure. Here is Gambhir’s tweet:
Man who ran away from Delhi Cricket citing “pressure” seems over eager to sell paid PR as concern for cricket! यही कलयुग़ है जहां ‘भगोड़े’ अपनी ‘अदालत’ चलाते हैं।

As far as the match is concerned, it was played at Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Hyderabad, and after winning the toss, RCB chose to bowl first. SRH managed to put up a competitive total of 186/5 with the help of Heinrich Klaasen’s superb knock of 104 runs (51 balls, 8 fours & 6 sixes).
In response, RCB had a great start as Virat Kohli and skipper Faf du Plessis (71 runs, 47 balls, 7 fours & 2 sixes) produced a partnership of 172 runs for the first wicket and helped their team in winning the match by 8 wickets with 4 balls remaining in their innings.
Currently, RCB is at the 4th position in the points table with 7 wins in the 13 matches that it has played and with this win, it has improved its chances of entering the play-offs.
Rajat Sharma once again tried to troll Gautam Gambhir but don’t you think that journalists should behave in a neutral manner? Do share your opinion in this regard.
