The Home Minister of India, Rajnath Singh, has accused the neighboring nation Pakistan of conspiring to divide India on the basis of religion.

He said this during his speech at a Martyrs’ Day Function in Kathua, J&K,
“Pakistan is conspiring to divide India on religious lines but it will not succeed. We were divided in 1947 on religious basis. We have not been able to forget that… All Indians are brothers, whether they are born from the womb of a Hindu mother or a Muslim mother.”

While Rajnath Singh was targeting Pakistan, the Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi targeted Rajnath Singh and PM Modi for doing the same that Pakistan is doing.
He took to Twitter to take a dig at Rajnath Singh and tweeted, “Yes Rajnath Singh ji Pakistan is trying to divide India along religious lines; has it struck you that you & your boss have been doing the same?”
