Rajnikanth is GOD! He is capable of doing even impossible things! This is what he has done with Kabali, his upcoming movie, which is all set to be released on the 1st of July.
The movie earned 200 crores even before release! Yes, you heard that right….Well, all credit for this goes to distribution and satellite rights. This upcoming Tamil movie has already become a hit and is set to break all records. There were many distributors who showed interest in this movie and wished to acquire its rights. However, only a few lucky ones from Karnataka to have got the deal signed with Kabali.
As per a report,
“The Telugu dubbing rights of the film have also been finalized for a phenomenal amount and two Bollywood distributors have been camping in Chennai over the Hindi theatrical dubbing rights. In the overseas market, the film’s France distribution rights alone have sold for more than double what other star films command in the entire European market.”
Thanu, the distributor of the movie prefers an outright sale of Kabali to the distributors out of Tamil Nadu. He says that today a movie starring Rajnikanth generates approximately 40% of the theatrical revenue outside the star’s (Rajnikanth) core area. Yes, this is true and no other actor from South India enjoys such high theatrical viewership outside. Thanu says that a distributor from Mumbai offered a whopping 16 crores.
This Rajnikanth starrer is all set to hit 5000 screens all across the globe in 4 different languages i.e. Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Tamil. So are you excited for this movie?
