The Indian actor Ranjeet has played negative characters in many movies and it won’t be wrong to say that he was such a good actor that many used to hate him in reality as well.
During an interview, he revealed an incident that took place during the shooting of movie “Prem Pratigya” which also starred Mithun Chakraborty, Madhuri Dixit Nene, late Satish Kaushik and late Vinod Mehra in important roles.
There was a molestation scene in the movie and while Ranjeet was waiting for the actress, she was refusing to do the scene and was crying but Ranjeet knew nothing initially.
Ranjeet said that Madhuri started crying and she refused to do the scene, he said that he was unaware of what was happening until an art director informed him about this. Ranjeet said that the director was from southern cinema and his name was Bapu. Ranjeet said that he used to have fun on the sets; for example, he used to ask his co-stars to look at the other side so that he could change, so that he didn’t look fake. He said that he was not used to of going to makeup room and it was normal for everyone and he was accepted like this.
Talking about the scene, Ranjeet said that Madhuri’s father in the movie used to pull a handcart and the molestation scene was supposed to take place on the same handcart. He said that he was waiting for Madhuri but nobody told him what was happening but ultimately she agreed to do the scene.
Ranjeet said that such scenes are a part of a villain’s job, a villain is not bad in real but he has to do such things. He further said that while shooting the scene, fight master Veeru Devgn said that the camera should not be cut in between otherwise the scene would not look authentic.
