After Uri incident in 2016, there was strong opposition in the country regarding Pakistani artists. Actors like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Ali Zafar faced a great fury and they got very less/no work in Bollywood.
After the recent Pulwama attacks, this force has become stronger only and there are more people who want to deny any work to Pakistani artists in India. All the Pakistani artists were in fact officially banned from IAF recently.
Now Ranveer Singh was asked to share his thoughts regarding the issue and we must say he gave a very sensible opinion.
Ranveer said that arts and sports are different realms and it should not be mixed with the school of thought. However, he said that despite everything the fact is that we are not sacrificing anything compared to our compatriots.
Ranveer concluded by saying that if even one mother of a soldier wants us to not engage with Pakistani artists, we should do that.
