Some time back, a deepfake video of Rashmika Mandanna went viral in which Rashmika’s face was edited on the body of another woman who was entering in a lift. After that, deepfake videos of Katrina Kaif and Kajol also went viral and recently a deepfake video of Alia Bhatt started getting circulated online. In this video, Alia’s face had been edited on the body of a woman sitting on bed and she was making some gestures while looking at the camera.

Now Rashmika has once again talked about deepfake videos and she has called them scary. During a promotional event of her upcoming movie “Animal”, Rashmika says that deepfake videos have been around for some time now and they are getting normalized which is not correct. She further adds that she always feels what would have happened if she had not chosen to talk about it and made it clear that it is not ok. Rasmika goes on to say that she is very happy that many people from various film industries came out to support her and now she understands how important it was to speak up. She also urges all the women to take help they need whenever something like this happens.

When Rashmika’s deepfake video went viral online, the legendary Bollywood actor Amitabh Bachchan also demanded a legal action against all those who are involved in it.

There is no denying the fact that people behind such acts should be punished and the punishment should be so hard that no one else even thinks of indulging in acts like this.
