Ravi Ashwin Imitates Cheteshwar Pujara During Workout, Pujara Shares Video With Funny Caption

The Indian cricket team is in Australia for playing its first international series after the coronavirus lockdown and the hosts have already won the 3-match ODI series by winning the first 2 ODIs of the series. India will also play 3 T20Is and 4 test matches and while the players of the short format are getting beaten by the Aussies, the test players are sweating out in the gym.

Recently, a video went viral in which India’s test opener Cheteshwar Pujara is seen working out in the gym and Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin is copying him in a perfect manner. The video was captioned by Pujara with, “The apprentice following the master.”

Here is the video in which both the cricketers can be seen having fun:

There is no doubt that both these cricketers Pujara and Ashwin have to perform well if India has to win the series. Last time when India toured Australia, Cheteshwar Pujara was the highest scorer for India with 521 runs in 4 test matches.

On the other hand, Ashwin is one of the best spinners of the present times and his experience will certainly help him a lot and the team as well in this important tour. Though Yuzvendra Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav have performed well in shorter formats for India because of which Ravichandran Ashwin has not been able to make a comeback in the Indian squad for ODIs and T20Is, Ashwin is certainly far better than both the young Indian spinners in test matches.

What will make things more difficult for the Indian cricket team is that the skipper Virat Kohli will return to India after test match as his wife Anushka Sharma will be giving birth to their first baby in January while Rohit Sharma won’t be available for at least first two test matches due to his hamstring injury. Rohit’s availability for the remaining two matches will be ascertained only after his fitness is assessed in the mid-December.

Hopefully, India will perform better in T20Is and test matches.
