It was also reported that the Indian cricket coach Ravi Shastri gets more fees from BCCI compared to Virat Kohli.

The report suggested that Virat Koli gets fees of $ 1 million i.e. Rs 6.5 crores from BCCI while Ravi Shastri gets $1.17 million i.e Rs 7.5 crores approx.

And now the reason behind it has been revealed-

As per reports, After becoming the coach, Ravi Shastri had to put an end to his other work (like commentary, column writing etc.). As per the rules of the BCCI everyone has to do it so as to avoid the clash of interests. However, as a result the BCCI has to compensate for the losses incurred, which is why Shastri is being paid more than Kohli.
