The moment the final run was scored, Royal Challengers Bengaluru knew the night was far from over. Their second Women’s Premier League title didn’t just bring silverware, it unlocked a wave of emotion, relief and joy that carried the team straight into an unforgettable celebration.
RCB marked the historic win with a late-night party that began even before they reached their hotel. A video shared by the franchise showed the team bus turning into an impromptu dance floor, with players singing, laughing and dancing together as they soaked in the achievement. When the bus finally arrived, hotel staff added to the special moment by giving the champions a guard of honor, forming a pathway with raised cricket bats as the players walked through proudly.
The celebrations only grew louder inside the hotel. Traditional drums echoed through the party hall, drinks flowed freely and the dancing became more energetic with every passing minute. One light-hearted scene captured spinner Shreyanka Patil jumping around teammate Grace Harris, perfectly reflecting the carefree happiness within the squad after a long, demanding season.

Earlier, the final itself had delivered high drama. Delhi Capitals, sent in to bat first, recovered well after a cautious start to post a massive 203 for four. The innings was stabilsed before accelerating sharply, with a stylish half-century in the middle overs and a late burst of aggressive hitting that gave Delhi strong momentum heading into the break.
RCB’s reply began with an early setback, but captain Smriti Mandhana rose to the occasion. Partnering Georgia Voll, she took control of the chase with a commanding partnership that never allowed the pressure to spiral. Smriti Mandhana played a breathtaking knock, reaching her half-century at lightning speed, while Georgia Voll provided power and stability at the other end. Even after Georgia Voll departed, RCB stayed calm and crossed the line with two balls remaining.

The victory placed RCB alongside Mumbai Indians as the most successful teams in the WPL history, while Delhi Capitals suffered a fourth straight final defeat. Although fans were seen crowding near the team bus, large public celebrations are unlikely this year, as the franchise remains cautious following last year’s tragic stampede during the men’s IPL victory parade, which claimed 11 lives.
Congratulations RCB!
