Time and again Shobhaa De is seen surrounded by controversies. Yes, sometimes her thoughts and opinions on bold issues are slammed by people on social media. The reason for this is that her words are sometimes filled with criticism and she doesn’t exercise caution while speaking them.
Yesterday, we saw how she left a hateful tweet for Indian athletes who are striving hard to represent the Country’s name in Rio De Janeiro Olympics and get some medals. But Shobhaa De just slammed them saying they have no work but take selfies and come back empty handed. This was her tweet;
Goal of Team India at the Olympics: Rio jao. Selfies lo. Khaali haat wapas aao. What a waste of money and opportunity.

However, this ruthless tweet of hers brought in lot of criticism from people. They poured in loads of abuses for her on Twitter. Now, on this, Abhinav Bindra, the Ace shooter had the perfect reply. View his tweet;

It seems Shobhaa De forgot how excellently Bindra had performed at 2008 Beijing Olympics and won a gold medal. This tweet of Bindraa received support from the former Indian Captain of National Hockey Team, Viren Rasquinha too.
