Reddit User Backfired Facebook’s Free Basics With These Awesome Ads Which Went Viral

Free Basics Service V/s Net Neutrality is the battle which is being fought between Facebook and Net Neutrality Brigade and this war is going to be fiercer in the coming days. Facebook is promoting its Free Basics service concept very aggressively and huge efforts have been made by them to convince Indians and garner their support but the Net Neutrality team is also very actively trying to make people understand that Free Basics is actually not free and it is totally a misleading concept.

Even the group of 42 professors of Indian Premier Technology Institute – IIT haw issued a joint statement calling Free Basics service of Facebook as “misleading and flawed”. Net Neutrality activists claim that Facebook and its telecom partner Reliance Communication will recover the cost of free services from “non-free services”. They also alleged that Facebook will have access to personal content created by app users.

Facebook, on the other hand is giving full page advertisements in newspapers to explain their motive of promoting Free Basics service as well as to make people understand that Facebook won’t be charging anything from the users.

However, the full page ads of Facebook have backfired and all the credit goes to a Reddit user snorlaxusedrest, who re-designed the ads and gave them a new meaning.
