Remember 2007 T20 World Cup Hero Joginder Sharma? You Won’t Believe What He’s Become!

The cricket fans of today are more interested in watching T20 matches rather than ODIs or Test Matches, but when the T20 tournaments started, nobody knew whether the audiences would like them or not.

However, the audiences liked them a lot and T20 world cup was also organized. When the T20 world cup started, India was not among the top favorites despite the fact that Indian cricket team performed extraordinarily well and reached the finals.

This ICC T20 World Cup final became more special as the arch rivals India and Pakistan came face to face for winning the trophy. Both the teams were leaving no stone unturned for winning the match and in the last over of Pakistan’s batting, it seemed as if Pakistan would win the match.

Pakistan needed 13 runs in last over with 1 wicket in hand. Misbah-ul-Haq was on the pitch and was batting wonderfully so the chances of Pakistan winning the match were far better than India.

However, Indian skipper Dhoni bought Joginder Sharma to bowl the last over and rest is the history. Joginder kept his nerves better than Misbah and as a result India won the World Cup.

That last over of Joginder Sharma made him a hero and a household name in India; but do you have any clue where is this player nowadays? Joginder’s cricketing career didn’t go that well as it was expected but he got a job in Haryana Police after the world cup tournament.

And if we talk of today, Joginder Sharma is the Deputy Commissioner of Police! Have a look:
