Anjala Zaveri who starred opposite Arbaaz Khan in the film “Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya” had a modest career in Bollywood before transitioning to the South Indian film industry where she found more success in Tamil and Telugu films. However, before “Pyaar Kiya To Darna Kya”, Anjala was seen in her debut movie “Himalay Putra” opposite Akshaye Khanna and the movie failed to impress audiences.
Anjala is now married to Tarun Arora, a well-known actor famous for his antagonist roles in Telugu cinema.
Tarun Arora, who portrayed Kareena Kapoor Khan’s boyfriend in the popular film “Jab We Met” is a model-turned-actor recognized for his performances in various films such as “Khaidi No 150”, “Katamarayudu”, “Jaya Janaki Nayaka” and “Amar Akbar Anthony”. He has also made appearances in Bollywood, playing villainous roles in “Laxmii” (as MLA Girija) and in television series (as Brijesh Pathak). Despite these roles, his focus remains primarily on his career in South Indian cinema, with his most recent appearance being in the film Bholaa Shankar, which unfortunately did not perform well at the box office.
Following her marriage to Tarun Arora, Anjala Zaveri stepped away from the entertainment industry. Her last acting role was in the film “Life Is Beautiful”, directed by Sekhar Kammula, featuring a cast including Abijeet Duddala, Naveen Polishetty, Amala Akkineni and Shriya Saran. The movie was well-received by audiences and is currently available for streaming on an OTT platform.
Tarun Arora has been nominated for several awards, including the South Indian International Movie Awards and the Indian Film and Television Awards, specifically for Best Performance by an Actor in a Negative Role for his work in “Khaidi No 150” and “Laxmii”.
In a previous interview, Tarun shared insights into his relationship with Anjala, revealing that they met in Mumbai, where he was modeling and she was working in South Indian films. They developed a friendship that eventually blossomed into love, with Tarun proposing first. The couple decided not to have children and Anjala, though no longer involved in acting, enjoys watching Tarun’s films without giving him professional advice.
They both certainly look good together, what do you say?
