Padmavati has already been surrounded by lots of controversies and the release has been postponed too. Karni Sena members believe that Padmavati makers have disrespected the history of Rajputs and have wrongly portrayed the same.
Even when the movie was being shot, the Karni Sena members destroyed sets and posters. Now that the film is all set for release, Karni Sena members are threatening Deepika and SLB.
Some offered a 1 crore bounty to burn Deepika alive while some offered a 10 crores bounty to behead Deepika. This is not it, even Ranveer Singh has been receiving threats from the community.
Since the movie has been delayed, everyone is eager to know the new release date. A reporter posed the same question to Shahid Kapoor too, when he got down at the airport. Shahid, who essays the role of Maharawal Ratan Singh in Padmavati, was surrounded by reporters.

Shahid said, “We just hoping for the film release soon and we believe that authority will help us and film release as soon as possible”
When the reporter again asked him for the release date, Shahid said, “Jab tumhe hi nahi pata toh mujhe kahan se pata hoga.”
