After the recent attack on Sanjay Leela Bhansali by the Karni Sena for distorting facts about Rani Padmavati, Bollywood is standing united in support of each other. The Karni Sena alleged that Sanjay Leela Bhansali was distorting history in his movie and this was a sign of disrespect for Rajasthan’s most significant lady, Rani Padmavati. They went on to attack Bhansali physically and also his complete crew before vandalising the sets of Padmavati completely.
This recent act of violence has sent a wave of fury in the whole of Bollywood and has seen a united protest against this rising intolerance. Earlier, to show his dissent for this act by the Karni Sena, Sushant Singh Rajput dropped his Surname from his twitter handle and openly voiced his support to Bhansali.
When celebrities were getting attacked on their sets, twitter was never going to be safe for them either. Trolls kept hitting hard at anyone and everyone who came out in support of Bhansali and his movie Padmavati. The stars of Padmavati, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor expressed their sorrow and disgust on twitter and said this was not acceptable at any cost.

However, Deepika being a woman was less likely to get attacked by twitteratis but that wasn’t to be. Trolls broke all limits of modesty and decency and went on to abuse and troll Deepika Padukone too. A twitterati went a step ahead though and gave Deepika a life threat if she continued to work in the movie. Rishi Kapoor, an active twitter celebrity could not take this and replied the troll too harshly.
