The young Indian cricketer Riyan Parag who has been an integral part of the IPL team Rajasthan Royals for a long time now is going through a very bad phase and there was a time when he was also dropped from the team.
Riyan Parag has been playing for RR since 2019 but he hasn’t been able to prove his worth as in the 53 matches that he has played, he has scored only 580 runs with an average of 16.11. The social media users have slammed Riyan Parag left and right for his poor performances and as far as the IPL 2023 is concerned, he has played six matches in which he has scored only 58 runs at a strike rate of 107.40.
In an interview which Riyan Parag gave before the IPL 2023, he stated that he felt he would be able to hit four sixes in an over but things didn’t turn out as per his expectations and RR dropped him for couple of matches. Amidst this tough phase, Riyan Parag took to Twitter and made a philosophical tweet which read, “Waqt acha ho ya bura Guzar he jata hai!” (Whether time is bad or good, it will pass).

Yesterday, Riyan Parag once again failed to play well and make a big score when his team needed him the most. RR faced Gujarat Titans at their home ground Sawai Mansingh Indoor Stadium, Jaipur and suffered a humiliating defeat by 9 wickets.
RR won the toss and decided to bat first but RR batters performed poorly and the whole team got out for 118 runs in 17.5 overs. Skipper Sanju Samson was the highest scorer with 30 runs (20 balls, 3 fours & 1 six) and Riyan Parag came to bat as an impact player but he couldn’t perform once again and got out on the score of 4 runs after playing 6 balls.
In response, Hardik Pandya led GT chased the target successfully in just 13.5 overs and Rashid Khan of GT was adjudged as the Player of the Match for taking 3 wickets in his 4 overs and gave just 14 runs.
Riyan Parag has made some very big statements till now but he needs to perform as well and prove himself, agree?
