These images took fans back to the time when Rohit Sharma cried after losing to England in 2022 and again after losing to Australia in the final of the ODI World Cup 2023 but now everyone wants him to win the T20 World Cup 2024 and end India’s ICC drought.

Rohit Sharma played a brilliant knock of 57 runs and helped his team in posting the total of 171/7 on the scoreboard. In response, England could score only 103 runs in 16.4 overs as the Indian bowlers, especially spinners wreaked havoc and took wickets at regular intervals.

During the post match presentation, Rohit Sharma praised his team and said that their unity and combine efforts helped them in succeeding. He said, “It’s very satisfying to win this game. We’ve worked really hard as a unit to come through this stage, and to win this game like that was a great effort from everybody. Our unity and collective effort were the key to our success.”

Rohit further added, “I thought we adapted to the conditions well. The conditions were a little challenging. We had to adapt, and that’s been the success story for us so far. Until this game, we have adapted to the conditions well. We’ve played the conditions well. And then the bowlers and the batters, if they understand the conditions and play according to them, things fall into place, and that’s exactly what happened for us today. Very pleasing to see how we came through this game.”
