RR Trolls Ashwin Over His Old Statement In Regard To Pujara Of Playing With Half Moustache

The Indian cricket team will certainly like to improve its performance in the remaining fourth and the final test match of the 4-match test series against Australia because the former has to win it if it wants to play in the finals of the World Test Championship 2021-23.

The Australian cricket team made a superb comeback in the series by winning the third test match by 9 wickets after losing the first two matches of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2023. The third test match was played at Holkar Stadium, Indore, and nothing went right for the hosts in this test match but veteran Indian cricketer Cheteshwar Pujara gave a moment to the Indian cricket fans to smile as he not only played a fighting knock of 59 runs in the second innings but also got the award for hitting the biggest six of the match.

This gave a chance to the official Twitter handle of Rajasthan Royals to troll Ravichandran Ashwin on the basis of an old statement made by the Indian spinner in regard to Cheteshwar Pujara.

In 2021, the Indian spinner was in conversation with the then Indian batting coach on his YouTube channel and Ashwin stated that he is trying a lot to convince Pujara to go over the top at least once but he is giving many reasons not to do so. Ashwin further added that if Cheteshwar Pujara hits Moeen Ali or any other spinner by coming down the wicket in the test matches against England which they are going to play, he will cut his half moustache and come to play. He also said that it is an open challenge.

Rajasthan Royals reminded Ashwin of his statement with a screenshot of both the news and captioned it, “Better late than never, right @ashwinravi99?” with a laughing emoji.

RR Twitter handle once again proves that its sense of humour is great!
