Gujarat Titans completely dominated the IPL 2023 in the league phase as it topped the points table with 10 wins in the 14 matches but the result of the first qualifier must have given a sleepless night to the GT skipper Hardik Pandya and coach Ashish Nehra. However, the good thing is that the defending champions still have one more chance, after getting defeated by Chennai Super Kings in the first qualifier, GT will now face Mumbai Indians on 26 May 2023 on their home ground Narendra Modi Stadium, Ahmedabad and the winner of this match will face CSK in the finals on 28 May 2023.
Yesterday, 5 times champion MI defeated Lucknow Super Giants in the eliminator match and the hero of the game was MI pacer Akash Madhwal who ended the match with the figures of 5/5 in 3.3 overs. The social media platforms were flooded with posts regarding Akash Madhwal and even the IPL team Rajasthan Royals also praised Akash Madhwal for his performance on their Twitter handle but it seems that they also took a jibe at the LSG pacer Naveen-ul-Haq.
RR posted bowling figures of Akash Madhwal but edited the wicket (W) with a mango emoji and dot balls column with tree emoji.

As we all know that the BCCI has decided to plant 500 trees for each dot ball as a part of their green initiative so a tree emoji in place of dot balls column was fine but mango in place of wickets hinted towards the series of events that took place after Naveen-ul-Haq and Virat Kohli’s ugly spat.
This incident took place during the match between LSG and RCB and after that, Naveen-ul-Haq left no chance of trolling RCB and Virat. If you remember during the match between RCB and MI which the Bangalore franchise lost, Naveen posted a photo of mangoes on his Instagram account and in the background, the match was going on television and the score card showed RCB in a troubled state.
Naveen didn’t stop here, when RCB lost their must win match against GT and got knocked out of the tournament, he posted a video of a comedian laughing out continuously which was a dig at RCB and the star player.
Naveen-ul-Haq made his IPL debut against RR and in that match, he may have gone wicketless but he bowled tightly as he gave only 19 runs in his 4 overs and helped his team in defending a small total of 155 runs.
What do you think of this jibe taken by Rajasthan Royals? Should a franchise take a jibe at a player? Let us know your views in this regard.
