Obviously, the White House was amazing, but now, the Obamas have found something even better. Yes, Obama would be shifting with his family to a new mansion after he leaves White House in January.
This mansion is just at a distance of 3kms from the White House and even though it is comparatively smaller, there is no compromise on the lavishness and comfort. This 8,200-square-foot brick Tudor mansion has 9 bedrooms, 8 bathrooms, a formal garden, a terrace and a courtyard, which can accommodate around 10 vehicles.
You will be shocked to know the value of this mansion! Want to know? Well, it costs a whopping Rs 41 crores, can you believe that? Obama had stated that his family would stay in Washington till 2018 i.e. till his daughter Sasha’s high school is over and this is the reason, they will rent this mansion till then.
It is owned by Joe Lockhart, a senior advisor to Bill Clinton and the monthly rent is $22,000 i.e. around Rs 15 lakhs.
