Rajat Bedi, who recently made waves with The Ba**ds of Bollywood*, revealed the story behind a missed opportunity that could have marked his earlier comeback. Before this project, he was all set to appear in Salman Khan’s Radhe, having happily accepted the offer. The excitement, however, soon turned into an emotional twist when Salman Khan personally intervened, asking him to wait for a bigger and more fitting project.
Rajat explained that he was initially thrilled to be a part of Radhe, seeing it as an ideal vehicle to return to the big screen. Working with Salman Khan was especially meaningful given the long-standing family connection, and just the prospect of sharing screen space with the superstar was a dream. However, Salman felt that the role wasn’t quite right for him at that moment and wanted to give him an even better opportunity to make a strong comeback. Rajat trusted Salman Khan’s vision and decided to step back, despite feeling disappointed.
He admitted the situation was emotional, as it’s never easy to give up a chance to work with someone you admire. Yet, he understood that timing and the right project were more important than simply being on screen. Rajat emphasised that the experience taught him patience and trust, as well as the importance of making thoughtful choices in his career.
