On February 12, three movies hit the screen of which two are Bollywood and the other one is an English film entitled Deadpool. Unquestionably, not much was expected from Sanam Re starring Urvashi Rautela, Pulkit Samrat and Yami Gautam but it would come to you as a surprise that Divya Khosla Kumar directed movie earned the most out of three on Friday. Talking of its first day collection on the Box Office, it earned ₹ 5.04 cr in the domestic market whereas on second day, it could make ₹ 5.56 cr and hence, the total collection of the movie becomes ₹ 10.60 cr.
Whereas Katrina Kaif, Aditya Roy Kapur and Tabu starrer Fitoor could make a collection of only ₹ 3.61 cr on the first day and ₹ 3.78 cr on the second day, earning a total amount of ₹ 7.39. Directed by Abhishek Kapoor, Fitoor is based on a novel of Charles Dickens entitled Great Expectations.
And now comes the turn of Deadpool which I’m sure English movie lovers would have been eagerly waiting for! Well, speaking from the perspective of the first day collection, the movie landed in the middle of both Hindi flicks, earning ₹ 4.10 cr on Friday and ₹ 4.90 cr on Saturday and its total collection in the domestic market is ₹ 9 cr.
Now it will be interesting to see which movie turns out to be a winner in the weekend!!
