A strange co-incidence took place on 18th June; India defeated Pakistan in London while India also got defeated by Pakistan in the same city. India attained victory over Pakistan in the hockey match in the Hockey World League semi-finals by 7-1 while lost in the cricket match of the finals of ICC Champions Trophy.
Sania Mirza who is an Indian sportsperson but married to a Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Malik for last eight years took the opportunity to congratulate both the countries on their victories.
She took to Twitter and wrote, “India lost the cricket but won in hockey against Pak. Congratulations Team India and congratulations Team Pakistan! Sport is a great leveller!”
