‘Sarbjit’, the upcoming Omung Kumar is in news since a long time now and definitely for the right reason. As we are aware, the film is based on Sarabjit Singh’s life, a Punjab farmer, who strayed to Pak and was mistaken as a secret agent for Pakistani authorities, after which he was sentenced to lifetime imprisonment.
The film basically deals with Dalbir Kaur, his sister’s struggles who didn’t leave any stone unturned for bringing her brother back. However, the makers have taken the decision of eliminating the most important incident of this film in which Dalbir approaches Salman Khan for support and help since Aishwarya is playing the character of Dalbir and she wouldn’t agree to share screen space with Salman.
Aishwarya is the reason!
Sources say that the involvement of Salman might be dropped owing to Aishwarya playing the Dalbir character. Further, sources say that Ash and Salman aren’t on talking terms and there was no way in which they can come together in front of camera. These scenes cannot be shot separately.
However, the reason is different!
A spokesperson from the movie gave a confirmation that the incident of Salman wouldn’t be a part of the film for a different reason. He said that there are extensive struggles and hence, recounting every incident isn’t possible.
If you aren’t aware, in the year 2012, Dalbir Kaur along with the daughters of Sarbjit visited Salman on ‘Dabangg 2’ sets for requesting him for support, hoping his immense popularity in Pakistan might work in the favor of her brother. He readily agreed to help her and a petition was put out online urging majority of people to sign it. It demanded the release of Sarbjit. In an interview, she had also confirmed that huge emotional support was lent out by Salman to the family. However, the whole episode is cut out.
