Sardar Gabbar Singh broke all the records at the box-office when it got the second biggest opening that any Telugu movie has received after Baahubali. Undoubtedly, Pawan Kalyan is an actor who can attract audiences and pull them to the theatre. What’s more, after the tremendous success of “Gabbar Singh”, a lot was expected from its sequel. The makers also spent a huge amount on the promotion of the movie which resulted in good advance booking for the opening day but the movie was not able to cross 100 crore mark in the weekend despite so much efforts.
Sardar Gabbar Singh has made a collection of Rs. 73 crore worldwide in the weekend as the occupancy of the theatre dipped on Saturday and Sunday. It has said to earn Rs. 38.4 crore in Andhra Pradesh in its first weekend. It is quite disappointing not to cross 100 crore mark in the first weekend after getting such a great opening.
On the other hand, The Jungle Book has showed growth in its collections and has become the second biggest opening weekend with Rs. 40.19 crore in India after Akshay Kumar’s “Airlift”.
