Saurabh Netravalkar, the India born USA cricketer is currently ruling the social media because of his superb bowling performances in the ongoing T20 World Cup 2024 and what makes him more special is the fact that he is getting famous in two countries at the same time.
The USA team may have made their debut in the T20 World Cup this year but they have performed pretty well and also created an upset when they defeated the 2009 T20 World Cup winner Pakistan in the super over. Saurabh Netravalkar played an important role in that match as he defended 18 runs in the super over and scripted history by making his team defeat Pakistan.
Though India managed to defeat USA, it was not an easy win and India had to fight hard for it. USA batted first and put up a total of 110/8 on the scoreboard. The target of 111 was not a big one for the Indian side but they could chase it successfully only after playing for 18.2 overs and after losing 3 wickets. The in-form batter Rishabh Pant could score 18 runs before getting out but Suryakumar Yadav (50 runs not out) and Shivam Dube (31 runs not out) stayed till the end and ensured that India confirmed its ticket to the Super Eight.
Saurabh Netravalkar was showered with love and affection of Indian cricket fans after he dismissed Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, while Virat Kohli was dismissed for a golden duck, the Indian skipper could manage only 3 runs. While Saurabh Netravalkar bowled pretty well for USA, Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh gave a superb performance as he took 4 wickets in his 4 overs and gave only 9 runs for which he was adjudged as the Player of the Match.
