Dubai, a city in the United Arab Emirates has been getting popular as a global city, as it is also the trade center of the Middle East. If you love travelling then Dubai should be in the list of places you want to visit, however there are some precautions that you need to take when in Dubai as the laws of the country are very strict and a minor fault can sent you to Jail or at least you may get fined.

Here we present you a list of 10 things which you must not do in Dubai:

When in Dubai: Well, you should say NO to drugs whether you are travelling to Dubai or not, but if you are travelling to Dubai, do not make the mistake of keeping, consuming or selling drugs. Dubai has a zero tolerance policy towards drugs and even a tiny amount of drug possessed by you can land you in the jail of Dubai.

2. NO to Public Display of Affection (PDA)

As drugs are intoxicating, love is also intoxicating; but in Dubai, keep your emotions in control in public places. Even a small kiss on cheek should be avoided in public places in Dubai. Physical relationship outside marriage is illegal in Dubai.

3. DON’T Dance Or Play Loud Music In Public

4. NO Drinking Alcohol in Public

Drinking alcohol in public is not allowed in Dubai, in fact foreign residents can drink at home only if they have license for it and for that too they need permission of their employer. If you are a traveler, then drink only in those bars and restaurants which have license for serving drinks.

5. NO Driving After Drinking

If you had drinks, then don’t drive as they are very strict about the rules and regulations. Take a taxi or Safe Driver service.

6. NO Body Show

We understand you are there to enjoy but ladies make sure you wear suitable swimwear on the beach and going topless is big NO for women and men both. You can’t afford to show off your lean or six pack abs physique on the roads of Dubai.

7. NO Cursing Or Yelling

Keep in mind you can’t use abusive language on road if you are in Dubai, some slangs which you openly use in your country may land you in trouble if you use in Dubai. So better to watch your Tongue.

8. DON’T Click Photos Of People Without Their Permission

For sure, every traveler wants to capture the moments and local people in his camera to keep them as memories but in Dubai, clicking pics of people especially women without their permission is not allowed.

9. During Ramadan, NO Eating And Drinking

If you happen to visit Dubai, in the holy month of Ramadan then you can eat and drink in homes or certain restaurants where it is allowed. This is the month when Muslims keep fast from early morning till sunset, so be careful where you eat and drink.

10. DON’T Insult Islam Or The Rulers Of The Country

Be respectful to religion and rulers. You should not say or express gesture about anything which can be taken as an insult to the Islam or to the rulers of the country as it is considered an offense and it can send you to jail or make you a hefty fine.

Shocked? Well, if you don’t follow these rules, you may get into a big trouble which would not at all be favorable for you, especially in a new country where you don’t actually belong from.
