On one side our country is trying to cross the boundaries of success and growth, and on the other side there’s violence against children and females that is still uncontrollable.

A new case of violence against children has come in observation and it is shameful for more than one reasons.

The girls of class 6th in Indore, Madhya Pradesh’s school were made to be slapped by their classmates by the teacher. This was done because the teachers themselves are bound by the laws and can’t hit the students physically.

As per TOI report, Each of the girls in the class was slapped around 168 times. This sheer violence has disturbed the father of one of the victims. He has now gone ahead to file a police complaint. The cops however aren’t sure whom to arrest and are seeking a legal opinion.

In the complaint, the father of girl has mentioned that the three students hadn’t completed their science homework on January 11, which infuriated the teacher Manoj Kumar Verma. He claimed-

“Verma ordered each student to slap my daughter twice each day, for the next six days.”

He further added-

“The assault has caused her immense mental and physical trauma. She is now terrified of going to school.”

The case has left the cops confused and they are seeking a legal opinion now. SHO Sher Singh Baghel said-

“We are seeking a legal opinion about who could be regarded as accused, the students who acted on behalf of the teacher or the teacher himself.”

He added-

“The students have confirmed that they had indeed slapped the victims as ordered by Verma.”

The daughter of the complainant was sent for a medical examination. As per Baghel, there were no injuries reported and the probe has revealed that girl was slapped 1 day and not 6.
