Earlier the police team investigated the alleged links of Peace International School in Kochi with Islamic State (IS) handlers, they found that six students at the school were radicalized and converted to Islam.

The police officers refused to share any more details about the students and management committee members, who were converted to Islam as this is a very sensitive matter. An officer said,

“The contents of the textbooks recovered from the school exhort the students to lay down their lives for Islam. A lesson in the textbook meant for Class II students asks a question- What Suzanne and Adam would do for religious conversion? Besides, the book contains many lessons, aimed at radicalizing the students. One lesson asks ‘Why Islam wins the battles?’ The answer is Islam wins the fights because it is a sacrifice for Allah.”

A Facebook user Aysha Mahmood shared a page from the textbook prescribed in the school. Her profile was deactivated after a few hours of the upload.

Now here’s a question that must be asked, how come these prescribed textbooks were not checked for content? How were they approved in the first place? The textbooks and the chapters in it are aimed at radicalizing and brain washing the students. How come the parents are allowing their kids to study something like that.

IG S Sreejith led police team has launched a probe into the syllabus and are investigating the activities of the school. The police came into action after they received the information that the missing persons from Kerala, who reportedly joined the Islamic State, were linked to the institution. It is reported that Abdul Rashid, who was an employee of the school had allegedly recruited the 21 missing persons from the state to IS.
