After a perfect bumper opening at Box Office, FAN has dropped down all the records later. Although it is the highest earning, FAN’s 5th day collections were pretty disappointing and were not at all up to the mark.
This was a dream movie of Maneesh Sharma, the director and this dream has been completed by SRK by giving an outstanding act. Even though it was a holiday for ‘Mahavir Jayanti’ yesterday, FAN failed to have good collections. At some places, the occupancy in theaters was bit high, but wasn’t enough for making the difference.
Even if the collections would have been higher, the movie would still have to struggle for recovering cost of theatrical business. Now, in order to do this, FAN would need an immense growth today and Tommorow. Exhibitors would get some confidence for allocating enough shows in Week 2 at multiplexes. Yes, on the 5th day, FAN managed to collect just 5.75 cr which is highly disappointing! On the other hand ‘The Jungle Book’ earned Rs 6.37 Crore on 2nd Tuesday making it’s total collections to Rs 113.70 Crore in Indian domestic circuit.

Day 1 – 19.2 crores!
Day 2 – 15.4 crores!
Day 3 – 17.75 crores!
Day 4 – 6.05 crores!
Day 5 – 5.75 crores!
Total – 64.15 crores!
