Did Sehwag Really Send Two-Line Resume For Indian Coach’s Job? Know The Truth From Sehwag

About 10 days ago, a piece of news regarding former Indian cricketer Virender Sehwag surfaced online, stating that ‘Sultan of Multan’ applied for the job of coach in the cricket team of India and for this, he sent merely a two-line resume.

As per The Indian Express, his resume reads that he is a ‘mentor and a coach of Kings XI Punjab in the Indian Premier League and has played with all these (Indian) boys before’.

The Indian Express even says that they are informed the following by a source in BCCI,

“Sehwag being Sehwag has sent his application in two lines. There was no CV attached to it. We had to ask him to send his CV too along with his application. After all it will be the first time he is set to appear for the interview.”

However, there had been no comment from Sehwag over this so far and this is for the first time that ‘Nawab of Najafgarh’ has spoken up on the matter.

Sehwag rubbished all the rumors and straightly denied sending any two-line resume for the so-called job. He went on to say that his name would have been “enough” if he wanted to apply for the post with such a short resume. Sehwag added that a CV that was totally in line with the norms of BCCI was sent by him. While interacting with UCWeb, he stated,

“I would be happy to get that two line CV from the media source. If I had to send a two line resume, my name was enough.”

As per Sehwag, Sourav Ganguly has been his favourite skipper of team India so far. He also talked about how Sachin’s guidance helped him in his cricket career. In his words,

“Sourav taught me how to keep patience and is my all-time favourite captain. On the other hand, Sachin gave me confidence, broke my superstitions and playing with him was like playing with the wall, you could play without any tension and hit boundaries freely.”

Virender Sehwag seems to love thrashing the Pakistani bowlers for boundaries with his first preference being Shoaib Akhtar. Here’s what he said,

“Pakistan was that one team against which I always loved hitting boundaries, especially against Shoaib Akhtar who used to bowl at 150 km/h.”

We are not bragging but RVCJ is the only website which didn’t cover the fake news of Sehwag’s two-line resume, as we believe in thoroughly investigating the matter in addition to using our intellect rather than just writing on any and every topic we stumble upon the Internet.
