This series of press adverts was run as a campaign by the “Church of Singapore” to grab more crowds to attend church on Sunday. The press campaign was run along with outdoor billboards.
The advertisements really went a whole lot more further than that, they even spread out series of viral SMS in Singapore, on Friday saying additional message along the lines of “Say ‘your thanks to me’. It’s Friday. God”
Advertising and marketing is an extremely mighty form that impacts us on stages far deeper than triumph us to pick certain goods. Life style selections are part of today’s world of promotion and consumption.
Possibly, there are adverts that are devious and projecting to the baser aspects of human depravity in order to promote business products. But creativity, at its best, charms to our desire to know who we are, to rejoice the life, to discover the worth in being human.
