Jokes apart… Marriage is definitely a beautiful bond which unites two people and their families forever but it can be possible only when the two main individuals involved in the institution are fully committed to each other and ready to accept each other, not just for their virtues, qualities and positives but for their shortcomings, weaknesses and negatives too.
This Women’s Day, we present a superb video that flawlessly elaborates all the problems faced by young girls as soon as they reach the age of marriage but are still single. What all they get to listen from others, marriage advices, matches from matrimonial websites and dating apps, suggestions from relatives and mohalle ki aunties and the whole lot have been excellently depicted in the poem entitled ‘Shaadi Ka Naam Adjustment Hai’ recited by Nayab Midha.
The video deals with the mental state of youths in regard to marriage when a number of lies are spoken to make the match look perfect and youngsters are told to find their partners in just 2-4 meetings but is it really practical to find your better half with whom you have to spend the entire life in just few meetings or by taking a look at the pic? Even bigger irony is that matches are made on the basis of social status, financial stability, beauty, height, physical appearance and not by virtues and compatibility. And then if there comes any problem in a marriage, couples are told to adjust because Shaadi Ka Naam Adjustment Hai. To what extent is this process of marriage correct? How difficult it is to live your life with someone you are not compatible with… there are many questions to ask, many desires to fulfill, many expectations to meet… Every girl deserves at least one chance to make a career of her dream, let her fly… Who knows she gets success and then finds a more suitable partner who is her Mr. Perfect, not on the basis of parameters of society but according to her aspirations!
