Shahid Kapoor, the Bollywood actor, has given many good performances in his acting career but there is no denying the fact that his performance in “Haider” stands out completely.

Directed by Vishal Bharadwaj, “Haider” got released in 2014 and the movie also starred Tabu, Kay Kay Menon, Shraddha Kapoor, etc. in important roles. The flick was based in the period of 1990s when there was insurgency in Kashmir, Shahid played the role of a young boy who was studying in Aligarh Muslim University but had to return after his father disappeared.

It’s an open secret that Shahid Kapoor didn’t take any money for “Haider” but recently in an interview, he revealed as to why he got ready for doing the movie for free.

As per Shahid Kapoor, the team told him that they can’t afford him because if they had to pay him, then their budget would not get sanctioned as the movie is based on an experimental subject. Shahid said that he got ready to work for free because it was a compelling kind of product.

When Shahid was asked if he has worked in any other movie for free too, he replied in negative, saying that it was just one instance and after all, he also needs to take care of his household.

On the work front, Shahid has some good projects in his kitty including “Impossible Love Story”, “Bull”, and a remake of a movie, “Woh Kaun Thi ?” which released in 1964.

As per some reports, Shahid Kapoor is also in discussion with Sanjay Leela Bhansali in regard to a project and they may collaborate once again after giving superhit movie “Padmaavat”.
