India-Afghanistan historic one-off cricket test match was played in Bengaluru and won by the Indian team comfortably. The Afghanistan team was dismissed two times by the Indians and the former scored 109 and 103 in the first and second innings, respectively.
The Afghanistan batting was not able to deal with the Indian batting attack and Twitterati trolled the Afghanistani opener Mohammad Shahzad not just for his poor batting but for a statement that he made some time ago. The opener struggled in both the innings as he scored 14 and 13 but he was trolled for what he said in an interview with PTI,
“Dekhiye hum fitness bhi poori karte hain aur khaate bhi poora hain (I work a lot on my fitness but I don’t compromise on food). You want me to have a fitness routine like Kohli, it is not possible, but I am working on it (losing weight). Jitna lamba chakka woh (Kohli) maarte hain, main unse zyadaa maar saktaa hoon, zaroorat kya hain unki tarah itna diet karne ki (I can hit bigger sixes than Kohli so why do I need to follow his diet?).”
In simple words, Shahzad was saying that when he can hit bigger sixes than Virat, what is the need for him to follow a diet like him?
In the first innings, Shahzad got run out while in the second innings, he edged to the wicket-keeper Dinesh Karthik. Twitter reminded the cricketer of his statement and told him that he missed the crease by a long word called “FITNESS”.
Here are some hilarious reactions:
Before The Match😂
Mohammad Shahzad – I can hit bigger sixes than Kohli, why to diet like him
Gets run-out cz he can't run like Kohli.
Stanikzai – We have better spinners than India
Bowled by Ashwin without any clue what's happening
Talk big when you can back it up.#INDvAFG

Mohammad Shahzad of Afghanistan got a taste of why it is important to follow a diet regimen. You can’t make fun of @imVkohli and get away with it. Some things are not done. Every Pakistani cricketer I know respects Kohli.
