Yes, on 26th of August Neha Goyal, stabbed her 4 month old baby Mahika 17 times, just because she wanted a son and her desire wasn’t fulfilled.
What happened was that Neha, a resident of Jaipur, started shouting in panic about her baby not being found. Want to know where was the baby? Well, she was stuffed in an air-conditioner and was covered with a blanket, isn’t it so shocking? Yes, the hospital declared the baby as dead.
Now, when police reports came out, the actual reality was highlighted! You will tremble after hearing what had actually happened. Mahika’s mom Neha (35) had slit her throat with a kitchen knife and this was done not once or twice but 17 times .
Neha already had an 8 year old daughter and for the 2nd time, she wanted a son! She felt unfortunate since she once again delivered a baby girl, but does this give her a license to kill her so brutally? After she admitted the truth, police arrested her yesterday.
Neha said that she was so obsessed to have a son that she even tried surrogacy and performed pujas. Since they are wealthy family of 13, money wasn’t a big concern for them.
When Neha started shouting that her baby is missing, all the family members started searching for her. Police suspected that it was someone within the family who was responsible for this job. Samples were taken and forensic tests were performed.
Well, the blood matched that of Neha’s and some blood was also found in the bathroom. It clearly appeared as if it was cleaned up recently. When police contacted Neha’s husband, he was in a state of shock and said he literally had no idea about how his wife can do something like this.
Angshuman Bhomia, a police officer, stated
“A knife was used to kill the baby, who had 17 injury marks on her body. The knife was been recovered at the instance of the accused”
He further added
“She had done pujas for a baby boy, we have interrogated the priests who did these pujas for her…she was very upset that she had a baby girl. This was planned murder,”
Since the family is so educated and well-off, even neighbors couldn’t believe this heinous crime.
